続いていた雨も上がり今日からまた晴天のパリです。

気温が上がったとは言え、以前までの暑さはもうなく、いよいよ秋になってきてるなと感じます。

しかし、まだまだ新商品が届かず、お客様からは「まだ〜？」なんて声も頂きますが、もう少々お待ちください。

 

本日は自分でも購入を検討しているこちらを。

以前も全色ご紹介しましたが、自分で使うならあまり見かけないグレーが良いなと思っています。

ストップウォッチ付きの時計

と言ってしまえば何だか味気ないですが、そうらしいです。

ただ、世の中の男性のクロノグラフ好きは疑う余地がありません。

皆さんそんなに時間を計りたいのでしょうか？

違います。

誤解を恐れずに書きますと

「見た目」

が格好よいからです。

（すみません。断言してしまいました。）

これらは日常生活において必ずしも必要ではありません。

オーバースペックとも言い換えられる高い機能性にただただ魅了されてしまう。

それが男性という生き物なのではないでしょうか。

（すみません。決めつけてしまいました。）

 

同じ時計の機能で言うと、「水深何メートル防水」なんてありますが、100mも普通潜らないですからね。

しかしこちらの時計は水深3900mまで耐えられるそうです・・・

周りの人からは時として（というより、だいたいは）理解されない機能を持つもの、それを使いこなしている自分に酔ってしまう気持ち、分かります。

 

・・・と、かなりの主観と大げさな表現が混ざった説明になりましたが、とにかく「クロノグラフ」好きな方は多いと思います。

何より「Chronograph」というスペルも格好良いです。

やはり代表的なクロノグラフと言えば、こちらやこちらが上げられます。

どちらも「3つ目（文字盤の小さい丸を目に例えています）」なので、一般的にクロノグラフと言えばこの形が連想されると思います。

 

VAGUE WATCHのクロノグラフは「2つ目」なので、クロノグラフらしい無骨さもありながら、とてもすっきりしたデザインに感じます。

「2つ目」と言いながらも、実は丸で囲まれていない秒針が配置されているという、巧みなデザインです。

アンティークのデザインをモチーフにしたモデルが多いVAGUE WATCHの中で、かなりモダンな時計と言えます。

しかもこのカラーリング。

モダンです。

時計としてはあまり見かけないカラーリングでありながら、落ちついたトーンのグレーなので、合わせるアイテムは選ばないのではと思います。

シンプルに白シャツと合わせても映えますし、カーキやオリーブ等のアイテムと合わせてもアウトドアっぽく馴染んでしまいます。

ケースがブラックで引き締められているのもバランスが良い理由でしょう。

ケースまでグレーの時計もそれは格好良いでしょうが、今度はモダンすぎると言うか、無機質な感じが強くなってしまうかもしれません。

 

そしてもう一つ、一般的にクロノグラフの時計はケース径が大きいです。

多くは40mm以上あるので、店長関のような細腕には似合いません。

しかしこちらは38mmほどなので、とてもすっきりとした見た目です。

時計の2mmって、すごく大きな違いというのをご存知の方も多いはずです。

 

ケースに合わせてオリジナルで作ったベルトもクオリティが高いです。

真夏はナイロンベルトに変えるのもいいとして、これからの時期にはやはりレザーベルトの時計を着けたくなりますね。

ちなみに30m防水ですので、ダイバーの方はご遠慮ください・・・

 

アンティークウォッチや本格時計ももちろん好きですが、価格的にもデザイン的にも気軽に着けられる時計はあると重宝しそうです。

気にせず使えるので、結果として登場回数が多くなるというパターンですね。

 

そしてVAGUE WATCHのTumbler見てるとまた時計が欲しくなってきますよ。

個人的にはグレーの霜降りパーカーに真っ白な2EYESの組み合わせがかなり「キテる」と思いますがいかがでしょうか？
